We enjoyed a nice quiet evening together to bring in the New Year. Micah tried to stay up, but did not make it past 10PM.

Ice Sculptures at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Resort 2008
I really look forward to these ice sculptures every year, because they are so magnificent. The ice exhibit is kept at 9 degrees, and warm parkas are provided for those not dressed appropriately.
The entire hotel is beautifully decorated throughout. I begin to really get into and enjoy the Christmas spirit during this tradition. I love seeing Micah's little face light up seeing Santa, the trains, and ice.

Indoor rock climbing
We had so much fun indoor rock climbing in Arlington with Pernel and Angela today. Climbing was a good workout, and a fun way to hangout with good friends. Micah loved it and was very brave. He climbed pretty high for his first time.

Plano Balloon Festival
We had a blast even though we had to leave early since I had to get up early the next morning to go to work.
Micah still remembers the balloons from St. Louis. In st. Louis the balloon festival was much more convenient since it was right in the city. We didn't even have to leave our apartment to see it. In Texas we had to commute through traffic to get to the festival, but it is worth it to see Micah's face light up.

This was the first time my family got together since we have been back home. Great bar-b-que Stanley, and thank you everyone for the surprise cake.

Thank you Terrance and Erica for my birthday Surprise
I can't thank you two enough for making my 30th birthday so special! Me Terrance, Erica, and Micah all went to Las Vegas for my birthday weekend. This was the pick me up I needed because I was beginning to feel a little down about getting older so fast. Terrance and Erica kept me so busy the whole weekend I did not take as many pics due to exhaustion.
Erica, Micah and I went to see "Gregory Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater" on Friday. That was a very fun show with lots of cute dogs and cats. Then later that evening Terrance and I went to see "Zumanity" by Cirque Du Soleil(a must see for couples, but not for the prudish at heart). I love Cirque Du Soleil shows. I always walk away in amazement. To top the night off Erica and I went out to the Jungle Room until about 3:30 AM.
Saturday was just as exciting. Erica and I sarted the day off with spa treatments until 11:30. Terrance and Micah hung out at the pool. Then Erica and I had lunch while the guys slept. After lunch we did some souvenir shopping. For dinner we went to "The Tournament of Kings" show. We all enjoyed it. Micah was so into the show he forgot to eat. Then Terrance and I went to see another Cirque Du Soleil show "O". Simply amazing is all I can say!
Sunday we wrapped things up with a trip to the Hoover Dam. I still can't wrap my mind around how they built that dam. It is HUGE!

Since Micah loves trains we took him to the Fort Worth Zoo and surprised him with a train ride through Forest Park.
