Since Micah loves trains we took him to the Fort Worth Zoo and surprised him with a train ride through Forest Park.
We finished the day at the zoo!

Happy anniversary
It has been 5 years with many more to come God willing! Things worked out perfectly for us to get away. Micah's daycare had a Parent's Night Out scheduled the day before our anniversary. This allowed us to go out Friday night and hangout with baby boy on Saturday at the zoo.
By the way this was the BEST carrot cake I have ever eaten.

There's a new lodge in town
The Great Wolf Lodge is really nice. They have a huge indoor water park! We ate ice cream and enjoyed hanging out again back home.

Micah's 1st fishing trip
It is so nice to be back home! This is our first fishing trip with Micah and since we have been home. I did not want to leave it was so peaceful at the lake. Micah seemed to love fishing, which is good news since we love to camp and fish.

One tough little cookie
Sorry about the lack of updates to the site. The transition back home has not been as smooth as I thought it would be.
After a short stay in the hospital related to breathing difficulty Micah has been diagnosed with asthma. He is doing better now, but he still requires multiple breathing treatments (3) and medications daily. We ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
These are photos from the last day in the hospital. Micah loved pushing his own IV pole through the halls talking to anyone that would stop to chat and playing in the play room until out of breath. I was surprised at how well he tolerated having the IV in his little arm. It was war though when it came to keeping his oxygen on--I can't say that I blame him.
He is back at home now and being carefully monitored for his asthma. His doctor is trying to get the right combo of meds to keep his asthma in check.
