Micah goes to see Sesame Street with his cousins' Leslie and Kayla

Leslie and Kayla took Micah to the Sesame Street show, and Micah also turned 1.5 (18mo.) today. They said he danced and sang as much as the characters in the show. This is a picture they took of Micah. When I picked him up I sung the Elmo's World song to him and he grinned and tried to sing with me.

I'm ready to wrap things up

Well, school started back this past Tuesday, and it was rough. The lectures seemed like they were endless! Good news though, the School of Nursing did decide to change our grading scale. Too bad it only counts for one of my semesters. We were told the new grading scale is NOT retroactive. I think they like to play with us accelerated students. Now a -B is 83-84. Before a -B was 85-86; an -A was not even considered until you made a 93. Now it is a more reasonable 91.

Hopefully next week I will be back in the saddle and tolerating lecture better. It may be harder because I got used to having clinical time. Patient interaction, yeahhhh! In March I will start my comprehensive and May I will be a GN (graduate nurse). We have about 3.25 more months left here in old St. Louis.

Micah is at a new daycare and loving it. When we drive up he is beaming, he starts waving, and he can't wait for me to get him inside. He is happy when I leave and happy when I pick him up. Thanks for all of your prayers and suggestions on the matter.

Getting back out after snowday

We decided to go to the St. Louis Science Center since we had been stuck in the apartment for a couple days due to snow closures at Micah's daycare and my school. Well, we got there and for some reason they were closing early. Since the weather was beautiful outside and we weren't ready to go back home we decided to go to the baby park (not sure of the parks real name, that is what we call it). Micah had so much energy he needed to get out.

Of course it is a boat!

I love receiving art from Micah now! He learned about boats today at school.

Micah takes over

Micah is 17 months old today. He thought it would be fun to kick his doggy brothers out of their new bed. Apollo has met his match.

Our house was quiet once upon a time, and then there was a little boy named MICAH! He talks and talks and yells and talks. I wouldn't change a thing. This boy is growing up too fast.

Christmas 2007 in Waco

Our day was busy. We made two stops. The first stop was in Waco and the second in Killeen to visit our families.

New tradition

Micah and I went to see the ice sculptures at the Gaylord Texan. Since I was holding him I could not take pics of the beautiful sculptures we saw. Maybe next year, but Micah loved the hotel decorations we saw along the way to the sculptures.

Doggy spa day

It has been a while since we have been able to spoil the doggy boys. For one they have not been with us since September. Since Terrance was traveling so much they went to stay with my parents in Texas (thanks Mom and Dad). It was impossible for me to take care of them and Micah alone in St. Louis living on the 6th floor with no backyard.

Today they were pampered like they used to be.

Trimming the Christmas tree

We are behind this year since we just made it back to Texas December 14. Usually all of the decorating would have been done way before now, but better late than never. Oh, it is good to be home again.

Reunited

Today we picked up Doggy boys (Prince & Apollo). Boy do they need a haircut. They were noce and plump, and well taken care of. Thanks again Mom and Dad!

Back in Texas

We enjoyed long 5 week break, but Micah and I had to return early to find a new daycare. We had fun at home while it lasted

I am 2/3's of the way through the nursing program!!

My last exam was in Pharmacology this morning at 8 AM. I have the option to take the final for Life Span III, but I think I will pass. My brain has already checked out and is thinking about home. I don't want to think about school again until January 22!

The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. May 9th will be my last day of class.

Micah is 16 months

It has become harder and harder to keep 'little man' still for photos. So now I just take pictures as he plays.

Happy Halloween

Thanks to my packed school schedule we did not get to take Micah trick-or-treating, but we did take him to the get together our apartment had in the clubhouse.

Micah is 15 months

Micah seems to be growing up so fast. We have about 6 more months left in St. Louis, then we will be back home in Texas.

Micah speaks his own language (sounds like Japanese sometimes), and he fusses at people all the time. He will repeat the 1st 6 letters of the alphabet, and sometimes he will say the next letter if he is started at 'A'.

His 5th tooth is finally coming in. This kid climbs on and is into everything. He is still a daddy's boy!

Right now we are battling problems with fluid on his ears, allergies, and possibly asthma related to allergies. We will stay in STL for Thanksgiving, but we will be home for about 5 weeks for Christmas! I will do my best to keep you posted on time. If I have time I might post some video.
